Run the below command for python-software-properties.

Now after that update apt-file.

# sudo apt-get install apt-file

Check the packages add-apt-repository in apt-file

# sudo apt-file search add-apt-repository

OUTPUT :

In the output of the file there is packages which we need to install.

software-properties-common: /usr/bin/add-apt-repository
software-properties-common: /usr/share/man/man1/add-apt-repository.1.gz

Now we will install software-properties-common
